EY Celebrates Black History Month

We invite you to join EY for an inspirational Black History Month webcast on the importance of self-care and mental health to our individual and collective well-being. The theme for this year’s virtual event is Recharge, refocus and renew: the commitment continues. It’s a call to action to recommit to personal goals and how we can impact societal change.

Hear from keynote speaker Chelsea Jackson Roberts, PhD, an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and scholar who will share how she connects service with yoga and meditation to build community. Additionally, co-founder and CEO of Athena Technology Acquisition Corp, Phyllis Newhouse, will sit down with EY Americas Vice Chair of Accounts and Black Professional Network Executive Sponsor, Sam Johnson, for a fireside chat. Phyllis, a U.S. Army veteran and serial entrepreneur, will recount her experiences with startups and conquering self-doubt.

Other speakers include Dr. Yele Aluko, EY Americas Chief Medical Officer and the director of the EY Center for Health Equity, Clif Smith, EY Americas Mindfulness Leader and Global Mindfulness Network Leader and Sheila R. Carmichael, MCC, Executive Coach, EY Americas Coaching Practice.The conversation is open to the public, and we welcome clients, community organizations and allies of all backgrounds and identities to attend, learn and grow with us.
