A Love Letter to the Movement We Built

A Love Letter to the Movement We Built

Ciao Bella,

It feels so good to say that again.

To all my Bella Women — the ones who have walked this journey with me since day one, and those just discovering The Bella Network — I’m writing to you with a full heart and renewed fire.

When I started The Bella Network, it was never about creating just another event or networking space. It was about building a movement — a powerful ecosystem where Black women and women of color could be seen, heard, elevated, and connected. We came together to rise above the noise, to navigate the maze of corporate politics, and to rewrite the rules that were never made for us in the first place.

And for years, we did just that.

Then, as life so often does, things shifted. My own journey required me to pause — to care for my family, to grieve, to heal, and to rest. And during that pause, the world around us shifted, too. Corporate America got louder about diversity… and then quieter. DEI roles were posted, then quietly eliminated. “Support” started to feel more like a checkbox than a commitment.

But even in the silence, I knew this truth remained: Bella Women don’t fade — we evolve.

We’ve grown. We’ve survived. And now, it’s time to gather again.

  • Because what we built? It still matters.
  • Because you? Still matter.
  • Because now more than ever, we need each other.

So, consider this your invitation — not just to an event, but to a reawakening.
The Bella Network is coming back this July, and we’re doing more than reconnecting —

We’re reclaiming our power, realigning our purpose, and rising in community.

The theme of this year’s relaunch is “Reclaim. Reconnect. Rise.”
Mark your calendar for the 3rd week of July — full details coming soon.
We’ve been preparing something transformational — and you, Bella, are at the heart of it.

With deep gratitude from one Bella to another,
Alisha White Madison
